We Can Only Imagine

They came from somewhere in St. Louis County. Where they were found specifically, we haven't a clue. Don't know what happened to their mother. We weren't told if they had littermates and if so, what happened to them. We got involved after St. Louis County Animal Control got them, so we have no idea who brought the 2-day old kittens to them. Lots of unknowns. However, what we do know for sure is that Archie and River are now in good hands.

They arrived yesterday and were immediately given the attention they deserve. The initial assessment is that the brothers are both healthy. They had nursed on their mother for very long, so when offered the bottle they didn't seem to notice a difference. It was a relief to see them drink down the formula, their little ears wiggling back and forth, indicating they were "plugged in" as we call this act of contentment.

Even though we have no story to tell about Archie and River's first two days in this world of ours, we are going to give them plenty of stories from here forward. And they are going to be nothing but good ones!
