We got another kitten this morning that was found on the lawn of a home in Affton, Missouri. The man who spotted him was getting ready to cut the grass but before he did, he made sure there was nothing he didn't want to run over. Little did he expect to find a black kitten. It was such a relief to know that the man took the extra time to inspect his lawn because a kitten we named Celeste, who arrived on June 7, we believe lost her life because someone did not do this.
The family kept the 2-day old kitten overnight and got him to drink formula from a bottle but because they work long days, they could not keep up with the feedings. They contacted SNUGGLE Pet Rescue and brought Seeley to one of our Foster Care Volunteers.
Seeley is one fortunate kitten who looks right now to have a future ahead of him. We just wish Celeste had gotten the same. This is a perfect time to remind people that before you mow the grass, please check for any babies. It doesn't take more than a couple minutes and by doing so, you could end up saving a life.
