We have a new special needs kitten enroute to SNUGGLE Pet Rescue as this is being written. Her name is Pippa. She was found by herself in a driveway when she was between 2 and 3 weeks old. What stood out immediately was that the tiny grey kitten could not use her back legs.

The woman who has been caring for Pippa has experience with raising kittens without mothers. The kind of veterinary help that would be needed to hopefully get Pippa walking, was beyond what she was experienced with or could afford though. So, she contacted us on Monday to see if we could take what would be our third special needs kitten in the last 10 days having problems using their back legs.

It took a few days to arrange transport because Pippa was found a couple hours away from us. This has led to us realizing, we need to create a Kitten and Puppy Transport Team. We usually require that the found babies be brought to us but when it is too far for people to drive or they don't have a car, we will transport. We make the exception because we don't want a kitten or puppy not being helped because of logistics.
