Austen, Juliet, Christie, Shakespeare and Hemmingway

Image finding yourself on the side of the road exposed to harsh weather, feet from passing cars, overdue for your next meal and no way to ask for help. That was the plight of 3 sisters and their 2 brothers. Thankfully, a man was in the right place, at the right time to spot this litter of 4-day old kittens. After gathering them up he took them to St. Louis County Animal Control, and they knew to immediately contact SNUGGLE Pet Rescue.

After Austen, Juliet, Christie, Shakespeare and Hemmingway arrived this morning at the home of one of our Foster Care Providers they were given a preliminary exam and fed. We are pleased to report that their chances of surviving are looking good at this point in spite of their rough start at life. It is always such a relief because each phone call we get has us asking, “What will be the fate of the newest arrivals?”

We know the odds are not always good for lives that are so fragile, but our team does everything possible no matter what the condition of the kittens or puppies when they end up in our hands. Thankfully, in this case it looks like we have 5 fighters who are as determined as we are not to give up.
