All We know is He Was Born

Axel was found in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. His mother disappeared after just a few days, and we have no idea if he had any brothers or sisters. Thankfully, the person who found Axel knew to get him warmed up, and then she contacted us.

Once our Foster Care Volunteer got him, she provided more supportive care and got Axel to drink from a bottle right away. He's continued to be a good eater which is exactly what we want him to be doing. We believe Axel may have been a preemie because he is missing fur on the bottom part of his legs and paws. This is a common characteristic of premature kittens.

Axel has a way to go before we can start to breathe a sigh of relief. He will be getting lots of extra care in hopes it's enough to keep him alive.
